3 PhD studentships in bilingualism/multilingualism at the University of Edinburgh (Atheme Collaborative Research Project)
As part of a major EU grant for the research project 'Advancing the European Multilingual Experience', funding is available for 3 full time PhD studentships in Linguistics and Psychology at the University of Edinburgh, starting in September 2014. Successful applicants will use experimental psycholinguistic methods to investigate the interaction between bilingual knowledge and other cognitive functions, and the impact of bilingualism on language processing in dialogue.
Applicants should a very good undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and have, or be studying for, a Masters Degree (or equivalent). We particularly welcome applications from students with a working knowledge of Gaelic, Italian and/or Sardinian. The funding offered will cover tuition fees at UK/EU level; however international students are also invited to apply.
