Language, Literacy, and Technology

By Richard Kern

"In this book, Richard Kern explores how technology matters to language and the ways in which we use it. Kern reveals how material, social and individual resources interact in the design of textual meaning, and how that interaction plays out across contexts of communication, different situations of technological mediation, and different moments in time."

Query:   Hello,

My name is Ozkan Kilic and I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Psychology Department at Lehigh University. My adviser, Professor Barbara Malt, and I conduct research on the psychology of bilingualism.

We have a partially online survey and look for voluntary Turkish-English bilinguals who were born in Turkey but have been living in the USA for 5 or more years. They should be moved to the USA after puberty. The participants will see some pictures and tell a story out loud in Turkish. This part will be conducted on Skype. The study takes about 25-30 minutes.

We will provide $5 Amazon gift cards for the participants.

Please send emails to ozkan.kilic@lehigh.edu for Skype appointments.

Thank you,
Ozkan Kilic
