Query:   Can anyone suggest good field recording equipment? I'm soon off on an elicitation project and my most recent experience is with a Sony Professional Walkman, pretty old and there must be better around now. I need the usual: fidelity, rugged reliability, uncomplicated, directional mic, small size, ease of playback and rewind (to hear again), foolproof, media compatability, .... Any suggestions appreciated, and I'll post a summary.
