I've always been fascinated with Languages, not just the words themselves, but with the structures and the sounds. In retrospect I find it hard to believe that I didn't discover Linguistics before the end of high school. I had always excelled at English and having exhausted my high school English curriculum I decided to investigate taking Linguistics at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). I had the good luck of having a fantastic first professor (thank you again Professor Felty) and my love for the subject grew from there. By the end of high school I had completed four linguistics courses there (thank you Professor Lawler, Professor Epstein, Professor Pharris, and Professor Coetzee), and decided to double major in Linguistics and Computer Science. While I enjoy all aspects of Linguistics, I particularly enjoy Phonology, Morphology and Language Acquisition. I hope to learn a lot from working at LINGUIST List and to contribute as much as I can to the site. In addition to Linguistics I enjoy reading and spending time with my fantastic parents and three brothers.
