Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates (who must
be native English speakers) for a temporary (3-year) teaching
position in the above department. Details relating to the position,
method of application and supporting documents required are given
below.

Location: Hiroshima University Foreign Language Course, English
Department.

Faculty Required: Associate Professor / Assistant Professor, or
Lecturer.

Starting Date: April 1, 1997.

Duration: 3 years (April 1, 1997 - March 31, 2000. NB. The position
is NOT renewable.)

Qualifications: M.A. essential; Ph.D. preferred; teaching and research
experience desirable.

Area of Specialisation: Socioanthropological Linguistics;
Sociolinguistics; Anthropological Linguistics; Applied Linguistics

Teaching Duties: Lectures & Seminars in Socioanthropological
Linguistics; Skill-based English classes (listening, speaking, writing
and reading).

Kwang Ju Women's University located in Kwang Ju city in southern
part of South Korea is looking for five English instructors.
Qualifications are

	Native speakers of English
	MA/MED in TESOL or other related areas

Teaching is expected to start from February/March, 1997 for 14 class
hours per week. EFL/ESL teaching experience is desired, but not
essential.

Salary and benefits include:

1. W1,300,000/month (about US$1,600) and
2. housing, medical insurance and other fringe benefits.
