Description:

The Department of Linguistics and Language Development at San Jose State University invites applications for a visiting lecturer position for Fall 2014 and/or Spring 2015.

The successful candidate will teach an introductory course in corpus linguistics in Fall 2014 and/or two introductory courses in computational linguistics (Speech Technology and Natural Language Processing) in Spring 2015.

Qualifications:
- A PhD in hand by Fall 2014 or Spring 2015, with a specialization in corpus linguistics or computational linguistics;
- Experience teaching computer programming and statistics to students without much relevant background.
