Description:

I expect to be able to advertize soon a 4-year PhD studentship to study under me at the University of Linköping, Sweden, starting Fall 2014. Areas of interest within clinical linguistics and communicative disorders are currently open but should fall within my areas of expertise (see my website at: http://www.ucs.louisiana.edu/~mjb0372/index0.html).

PhDs in Sweden take around 4 years, and are usually through the medium of English. There is a minimum of coursework, and more time is spent on actual research than in a typical US doctoral program.

Applicants will be expected to have (or be about to complete) a Master's degree. Experience in communication disorders and/or clinical linguistics will be highly desirable.

Please note: this is *not* a postdoc; it is only aimed at students who can be full-time and in residence in Linköping for the full 4 years. Further, it is not aimed at mid-career people wishing to change direction; if you already have a doctorate we cannot consider you for this support.

If you are interested please contact me as soon as possible, sending a copy of your current CV, at mjballlouisiana.edu

Please pass this message on to anyone you know who may be looking for support for doctoral studies.
