The 14th Annual Conference of the English Department of the University of Bucharest (ACED 14) will be held from 31 May - 2 June, 2012.

Call for Papers:
Papers are invited in the following areas:
- Language acquisition
- Translation studies
Submissions are invited for papers in any field related to the formal study of language. Authors are asked to submit their anonymous abstracts as e-mail attachments in MS Word and .pdf formats to the following address:
The abstract should include the title and three keywords/phrases that best describe the content of the abstract. The title of the paper, name of the author(s), affiliation(s), surface mail address and e-mail address should be included in the e-mail message. Abstracts should not be longer than two pages in length (including examples and references), in 12-point type, single line spacing and 2, 5 cm. margins.
Talks will be 25 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion.
The official language of the conference will be English.
A selection of the papers will be published in Bucharest Working Papers in Linguistics.
Deadline for receipt of proposals: 1 March 2012
Notification of acceptance: May 1 2012
