Meeting Description:

The International Society of Chomskyan Studies is pleased to announce its 2011 Winter Conference to be held at Konkuk University, Seoul, Korea on Saturday, February 12, 2011. This year, we will be co-hosting the conference with Korean Society for Psycholinguistics and The Korean Generative Grammar Circle. The theme of the conference is Competence and Performance: Psychological Reality.

Invited Speakers:

John McGuire, Hanyang University
Koji Sugisaki, Mie University

Call for Papers:

We invite submissions for the presentation and/or special lectures at the conference from all around the world.


Presentations will fall into two categories: presentations and lectures. Presentations should be no more than 20 minutes long and will be followed by 10 minutes for discussion. A lecture will last for 50 minutes and will be followed by 10 minutes for discussion as well.

All abstracts should be written in English.

Please send your abstract of 350 words to chomsky05chomsky.or.kr before 15 January 2011. All abstracts must be submitted in English.

Submission Deadline: January 15, 2011
Notification of Acceptance: January 21, 2011

Papers or hand-outs to be included in the conference proceedings should be submitted by February 5, 2011. They should be approximately 10 pages in length and submitted as PDF or Word attachments in an e-mail to chomsky05chomsky.or.kr.
