Meeting Description:

The workshop will be organized by the Department of Modern Greek Studies of the
University of Amsterdam, in collaboration with the Meertens Instituut of the
Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. It will host an invited speaker
from Greece and will take place in the centre of Amsterdam.

Call for Papers

For the third year in a row, a group of linguists in Amsterdam are organizing a
workshop on Modern Greek linguistics on Monday, May 10 2010. All linguists
working on Greek are cordially invited to participate, and submit an abstract
for a 20 minute talk on any aspect of Modern Greek linguistics that may be of

One-page pdf formatted abstracts, including examples and references, should be
submitted before April 5 to Jeroen Vis at the University of Amsterdam:
j.visuva.nl, to whom any further questions may also be addressed. Notification
of acceptance: April 16.
This Year the LINGUIST List hopes to raise $65,000. This money will go to help 
keep the List running by supporting all of our Student Editors for the coming year.
