It is concerned with the role, shape and evidential value of language in legal and forensic settings. The eighth edition of International Summer School in Forensic Linguistic Analysis will take place at Aston University from 15th to 19th September 2008. The five-day event will cover topics such as courtroom interaction, the status of linguistic evidence in the legal setting, forensic authorship analysis, plagiarism and its detection, and forensic phonetics.
