Meeting Description:
La Phonologie Déclarative est une phonologie basée sur les contraintes,
monostratale (elle se réfère à un niveau de représentation unique) et non
dérivationnelle (Bird, 1995 ; Coleman, 1998). Ce cours aura pour objectif de
présenter la Phonologie Déclarative, et, spécifiquement, une approche
déclarative par principes et paramètres (Angoujard, 2006). Les caractéristiques
de cette approche seront systématiquement illustrées par des études portant
notamment sur le français, l'arabe et le breton.

Programme et bibliographie
1. Origine de la Phonologie Déclarative. Règles et contraintes. Un premier
exemple et une longue histoire : le radical du verbe [ktib] « écrire », en arabe
tunisien. La fin des dérivations : les contraintes sont des représentations
partielles. Pour une approche déclarative par principes et paramètres.
2. Un peu de technique : structures de traits et unification. La structure de
l'attribut ; syllabe, rythme et prosodie (les paramètres accentuels ;
l'exemple de l'arabe).
3. Le schwa en français (avec une incursion vers le schwa en portugais). La
liaison en français
4. La phonologie de l'article défini (arabe, breton, avec une incursion vers les
langues romanes). Pourquoi et comment il n'y a pas d'opacité en phonologie (en
réponse à McCarthy, 2007).
5. Vers une phonologie diachronique déclarative. Discussion.
