Candidates must hold, or be at the final stages of completing a PhD in any field related to the study of speech and language at an accredited university. Candidates with more than five years of post-PhD research training by the competition deadline of March 1, 2007 are not eligible to apply for this award. Any interruption in a candidate's post-PhD research training will be taken into account in determining eligibility.
