Applicants must have a PhD in anthropology at the time of the commencement of the position. We seek a candidate able to teach both anthropology and linguistics courses at all undergraduate levels, who is prepared to develop and teach graduate courses in linguistic anthropology, and who will attract students to the Department's MA and PhD programs. The successful candidate must have an active research profile and ideally will be able to contribute to an area of special departmental research focus such as environmental anthropology. Applicants must send a letter of application with curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching and research interests, and one recent paper to the address below. Applicants should also arrange for three letters of reference to be submitte to the Chair, Department of Anthropology, under separate cover by the closing date.
