The Department of Linguistics of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat
University, in Bangkok, Thailand, has an opening for a full-time teaching
appointment in the field of Linguistics or Applied Linguistics, starting in
April or May 2005. Applicants must have a PhD in hand at the time of
application. Please note that only native speakers of English should apply. The
applicant must provide evidence of their academic record from accredited
institutions (plus teaching experience, if any). The base monthly salary for
this position is 22,248 baht plus an 8,000 baht housing allowance.

- A letter of introduction
(Together with a curriculum vitae, please also provide another letter
delineating your personal information, academic background and interests in
more detail, and any contribution you think may benefit linguistic studies
and research in Thailand and Southeast Asia.)
- Copies of all degree certificates, diplomas and other certificates
- Copies of transcripts of tertiary grade results
(For graduates of British, Australian or New Zealand institutions who are
unable to produce MA or PhD grade results in alphabetic or numerical form,
please send us an official letter from your university's registry, which
certifies your degree completion.)
- Three letters of reference
(Two of the referees must be past instructors or thesis supervisors. Apart
from stating their familiarity with your work and interests, they should
also evaluate your personal character and ability to coordinate with
colleagues, etc.)
- Three passport photos
(In the case of e-mailed applications, we only accept passport photos
through the post)
- Samples of published work (if any)
