Job reports to: Director of Sociolinguistics Laboratory

Salary: Minimum: $38, 366		Standard: $47, 958 		
Maximum: $52, 754

Duration: two-year renewable contract


JOB SUMMARY

To coordinate activities of up to 15 research assistants at a
cutting-edge research lab and ensure that production deadlines are
met. Wide variety of diverse and challenging duties include:
coordinate and interface with on-going projects, curate research
holdings, maintain computer data bases, oversee computer network
(troubleshooting, granting access), maintain lab website, prepare and
edit manuscripts, create visual aids, analyse and organize office
operations and procedures, general office management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated familiarity with Macintosh environment, including
advanced expertise in Word, File Maker Pro, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to manage small (15 station) LAN Excellent organizational and
interpersonal skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in the supervision and direction of personnel in multitask
production units Ability to work autonomously, under pressure and to
organize work to meet firm deadlines Ability to prioritize work and to
control its quality Bilingualism (English/French) and knowledge of
(socio)linguistics, definite assets.
